Rebuilding Rapitpro
Hey everyone,
Welcome to the 4th episode of my newsletter! I'm excited to share my journey with you, especially after completing my fellowship and restarting Rapitpro with a fresh perspective. It's been quite a ride, and I've learned a lot from my mistakes the first time around.
So, why did I fail with Rapitpro initially? Here’s what went wrong:
I relied too much on customers from my immediate surroundings and network.
I didn’t have a clear roadmap to guide me.
I didn’t monitor my reports and metrics regularly.
I wasn’t using any tools to automate processes.
But this time, I was determined not to repeat those mistakes. Here’s what I did differently:
From day one, I started outreach efforts using Meta ads to expand my reach beyond my immediate network.
I developed a clear roadmap to keep myself on track.
I started using Khatabook to monitor my sales and generate reports.
I integrated tools like WooCommerce, Shiprocket, and WhatsApp Business Solutions to streamline my operations.
On top of that, I created a proper workflow for customer onboarding, ensuring that I could deliver products smoothly and gather feedback effectively. These changes made all the difference. My sales skyrocketed, I cleared all my debt, and I was finally able to support my family financially. Within just six months after completing my fellowship, I felt mentally and financially free.
After things started picking up with Rapitpro, I felt the itch for new experiences and perspectives. So, I decided to make a move to Chennai for a few months. As luck would have it, Tamilpreneur Praveen had a vacant spot in his room. I shot him a message, and he was totally on board. Before I knew it, bags were packed, and Chennai was calling!
Meeting Sriram aka Debut Journey
In Chennai,l met a Crazy guy named Sriram, better known as Debut Journey. From day one, we hit it off. He introduced me to various networking sessions, and I got to chat with entrepreneurs and investors regularly.
One thing Sriram often said stuck with me: "Your network is your net worth." And boy, was he right!
Sriram also opened my eyes to the B2B opportunities in my business. I learned a lot about software, SaaS, investment, funding, and bootstrapping. I also discovered how LinkedIn could be a powerful tool for building a personal brand. The SaaS model, in particular, really caught my attention.
Back to Coimbatore with New Insights
Everything was going smoothly, and I made a ton of valuable connections in Chennai. But eventually, I decided to move back to Coimbatore because that’s where my operations and inventory are based. With everything I’d learned, I implemented new strategies in my business. By the end of the year, I hit a 7-figure revenue with over 1,000 recurring customers.
I’m looking forward to sharing more in the next episode of this newsletter. Remember, the journey is just as important as the destination.
